The Modeina Community Fund awarded 21 not-for-profit groups from within the Caroline Springs, Burnside and Burnside Heights areas with a $1,500 grant.
Successful recipients were invited to an awards evening at the Modeina Land Sales Centre, where they were recognised for their fantastic work for the wider community.

CS Square is expanding with the construction of a brand-new bulky goods precinct called CS Hub
CS Hub stores will focus on a mix of lifestyle goods, everyday essentials, and professional services just a 5-minute drive north of Modeina or 16 minutes on the Route 426 bus.
The new retail stores will join long-standing favourites like Coles, Woolworths, Priceline, Kmart and Specsavers.
Four hundred new retail jobs are expected to be created when CS Hub is complete.

Saad started Byblos Market at Burnside Hub six years ago. He arrived in Australia from Lebanon in the early 2000s.
Today he continues to run the store, employing his 19 year old son and other staff to service the increasing numbers of customers coming in to get their groceries.
Mandarins, oranges and apples are currently in season, sourced from Melbourne Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Market in Epping.
