Originally from Burma, Thatlian arrived in Australia as a refugee in 2016.
Tharlian is moving to Modeina from the nearby suburb of Burnside Heights to start his new chapter in life.
Why did you start looking for a new home?
I started looking for a new home in 2022 because I wanted more space and a location that better suited my lifestyle.
Buying land and building felt like the best option because it allowed me to create a space tailored to my needs and preferences. It also offered the chance to design my ideal home.
Why Modeina?
I was attracted to Modeina because of its friendly community, convenient amenities and peaceful suburban vibe. It seems like a great place to live and enjoy life.
What’s your timeline to build and move in?
My timeline to build and move in is about 24 months. I plan to finalise the design and permits in the first few months, then begin construction.
What do you like about the area?
It’s very peaceful and it’s full of nature. The local parks and recreational spaces are great for outdoor activities. Overall, it’s just a great place to live in.
