Raymond Dao and Kimberly Nguyen Testimonial

April 2020 in Meet Your Neighbours

Proximity to the city and well-established transport links were just two of the reasons Kimberley Nguyen and Raymond Dao decided to purchase a block at Modeina.

Having grown up in the local area, the young couple was also attracted to Modeina for the opportunity to build their dream home in a brand new in-fill development that is bordered by established Melbourne suburbs like Burnside Heights and Caroline Springs.

The young couple has extended family living in nearby suburbs so they welcomed the chance to buy a block of land in the area.

“One of the things we look forward to at Modeina is being part of a small community, getting to know our neighbours and sharing the same interests,” enthuses Kimberly.

“I think in time everyone will get to know each other and become good friends.”

After making the exciting first step of buying a premium block of land opposite Modeina’s regenerated Kororoit Creek wetland reserve, Kimberly and Raymond are now looking forward to making the most of the fabulous location when they build their new home.

“We decided to go with a 16 metre by 32 metre lot to give us flexibility in the design and the block we choose offers so much in terms of views, privacy and also a safe playground right across the road,” says Raymond.

“In terms of a house design, we have an idea of what we want but there are so many to choose from….”

Kimberly and Raymond will no doubt also enjoy the city views from the park’s elevated boardwalk and viewing platform that extends over the reserve’s deep pond.

Once works are complete, the Kororoit Creek reserve will feature extensive native planting, along with a pond situated between open areas that will accommodate picnic tables, BBQs, a shelter and a fitness station.

“We are going to enjoy taking walks along the trail from our house and using the BBQs and other facilities with our family and friends,” says Kimberly.

Currently living in nearby Cairnlea, Kimberly and Raymond travel to the city each day for work so the established transport links from Modeina will make their daily commute a breeze.
