The Lifelong Learning Festival which ran from 18- 27 October, brought Melton’s thriving community together across a host of activities.

The Festival focuses on lifelong, lifewide and lifedeep learning and understands the difference learning can make to people’s lives and the beneficial impact it can have on the community as a whole.

Burnside Primary School opened its doors to the community to discover what every day learning looks like for the kids on campus. An art show showcasing student work and a school tour was capped off with a sausage sizzle and the screening of The Lego Movie 2.

Close to 200 people stayed on after the tours to enjoy the family-friendly movie, sponsored by Dennis Family Corporation and screened on a state-of-the-art laser projector, with many kids up singing and dancing throughout the movie.
